Publishing & partners
Publishing Standards
The bar every paid publication, company announcement and press release must meet before it appears on Consulting Media.
What a package buys
Publishing on Consulting Media is by application. Packages buy editorial consideration, production and distribution — not guaranteed publication. Clients can’t post: an editor on the Partner Publishing Desk reviews every application and story, may request changes or decline it, and publishes accepted stories.
If a paid story is declined, the package credit or payment is returned in line with our refund policy.
Review criteria
Editors evaluate submissions against the following standards:
- Relevance: the piece is materially useful to Consulting Media’s business and technology audience.
- Accuracy: claims are specific, attributable and supportable; statistics cite their source.
- Tone: no unsupported superlatives, comparative claims without evidence or disparagement of competitors.
- Originality: content is original to the submitter and passes plagiarism screening.
- Links: outbound links are relevant, limited by package, and always carry rel="sponsored". We do not sell links that pass search ranking credit.
Labeling
The system applies disclosure labels automatically from the content format and package. Customers and authors cannot remove or alter labels. Paid content is never placed in editorial recommendation modules such as Most Read, Editor’s Picks or Continue Reading.
Press releases
Press releases distributed through Consulting Media Wire are checked for identity, formatting and relevance, then published as provided. Consulting Media does not independently verify their claims, and every release page says so.
